Comment: | The widespread fungus Botryotinia fuckeliana is a pathogen of most vegetable and fruit crops, and many varieties of trees, shrubs, flowers, and weeds. It causes gray mold rot, or Botrytis blight, which is responsible for significant crop and economic losses. Under certain environmental conditions, Botryotinia fuckeliana causes Noble rot of grapes, which is necessary for the production of some rare dessert wines. |
