Comment:Phaseolus coccineus, scarlet runner beans, is a legume crop eaten in several parts of the world. It is often grown in regions where string beans may not thrive. It bears red flowers because of which it is often used as an ornamental plant. Plants grow as a vine with large leaves. The seeds are large and the embryos are fairly big in size.
