Comment: | Plasmodium vivax, the second most important causal agent of human malaria, is the most geographically distributed of the malaria parasites and is responsible for the development of a clinically less severe disease, when compared to P. falciparum malaria. P. vivax malaria is indistinguishable from P. falciparum malaria, yet it usually does not progress to a range of life-threatening manifestation. |
